Earlier this Spring, NCCR Robotics opened an internal call for Grassroot Projects, aimed at PhD students and postdoctoral fellows to investigate novel and collaborative research ideas within the themes of the three Grand Challenges (Wearable Robotics, Rescue Robotics, Educational Robotics)
The proposals have been selected and three projects will be funded:
- Cellulo-Mori: Reconfigurable Modular Swarm Robots
(collaboration between the Computer-Human Interaction in Learning and Instruction Lab and the Reconfigurable Robotics Lab) - Restoring motor and SENSory functIons with a wearaBLE sensorized hand EXOskeleton (SENSIBLE-EXO)
(collaboration between the Rehabilitation Engineering Lab and the Neuroengineering Lab) - Tricking the brain to embody an extra limb: Third Arm Illusion in a self-touch protocol
(collaboration between the Motor Learning and Neurorehabilitation Lab and the Translational Neural Engineering Lab)
These projects will promote collaboration and will look to bridge the NCCR Robotics Grand Challenges.
