Technology Transfer

For robotics to contribute to Switzerland’s economic competitiveness, an efficient transmission chain between academia, industry and the public sector is key.

NCCR Robotics’ Knowledge and Technology Transfer activities targeted the academic domain as well as the public and private sector, and focused on:

• transferring knowledge towards the research community (through scientific publications and conferences);
• promote entrepreneurship among its members and the creation of spin-offs derived from the research projects;
• transfer innovative technology towards the private and public sector;
• support the growth of the whole Swiss Robotics Ecosystem, in particular by helping liaisons between the industrial and academic world.

Also thanks to the work done by NCCR Robotics, Switzerland has the world’s highest number of robotics start-up companies per capita.
