Graduate Programs in Robotics in Switzerland

Master programs

Our partner institutions currently offer two courses that have a strong focus on robotics at the master level, although it is worth noting that students with a wide variety of backgrounds across science and engineering end up with a career in robotics.

Master in Robotics at EPFL

The Master in Robotics at EPFL was launched in September 2018.

Visit the program’s website to learn about the course, admission criteria and how to apply.

Master in Robotics, Systems and Control at ETHZ

The Master course at ETH Zurich in Robotics, Systems and Control lasts for 3 semesters and is based around a tutor system.

Students are free to choose any modules from across the whole University but most choose with their tutor.

Visit the program’s website for more information and details on how to apply.

Doctoral programs

The partner institutions of NCCR Robotics are committed to take education further and, as a result, they offer different Doctoral Programs and PhD opportunities.
Please note that any questions should be addressed directly to the universities.

At EPFL, the Doctoral School in Robotics, Control, and Intelligent Systems (EDRS) provides doctoral students with the necessary education to be leaders in multi-disciplinary areas at the intersection of computer science, electrical engineering, and mechanical engineering.
At the doctoral school, students follow set classes and are in charge of their own projects.

At our partner universities, opportunities for PhD studentships are managed by individual professors.
We recommend that you visit the institutional websites on a regular basis:
